Stop Killing Us
TW: Mention of gender based violence
Stop Killing Us is a publication done as a response to the protests against femicide that have taken place, and continue to take place in Mexico during International Women’s Day each year. The ultimate goal of the topic chosen was to continue to bring a different approach to raise awareness to a topic that affects and impacts many.
The publication walks the reader through increasing forms of violence and, as the stories and intensity of the topics increase, the visuals morph into more uneasy formats to submerge the reader in these visceral emotions. The stories featured are those of real women around the world that have shared their own experiences, or of those who have unfortunately been a victim of more serious types of violence, and are being shared by others.
